ExporTech and DEMEP help companies go global

DOVER, Del. – Sponsored in part by the Delaware Manufacturing Extension Partnership (DEMEP), ExporTech is offering workshops to Delaware businesses to help export products internationally.

One Delaware company that took advantage of the program is Creative Micro Design Inc., an engineering and software-manufacturing company, that is transitioning to offering a single product, a pediatric breathing device that measures respiratory performance and sends real time information to a doctor’s mobile device such as a tablet computer.

The three day long program offers participants workshops in global finance, logistics, business law and patent and intellectual property protection. Additionally, DEMEP helps the participants by offering training and support to improve quality, productivity and profitability, helping Delaware companies go global.

After the workshops, Ralph Page, president of Creative Micro Design, says he intends to market his product in England, Germany and France and credits ExporTech in identifying the markets where his product could succeed.
